Who are we?
A safe space.
A repository of resources and stories.
Come join us with a warm blanket and a cup of tea.
By victim-survivors and allies, for victim-survivors.
The Moxie Collective was started in December 2023 by a group of victim-survivors and allies against the growing prevalence of IBSA in Singapore.
We strive to tackle the sense of isolation that victim-survivors grapple with in the aftermath of IBSA, challenge the growing incidence of tech-enabled sexual violence, and provide useful resources for those seeking recourse.
We seek to forge a future where:
01
Society recognises the gravity of and abuse inflicted by IBSA.
02
Victim-survivors’ privacy, dignity, recovery and re-connection with humanity are prioritised.
03
Bystanders stand up against perpetrators and actively thwart the circulation of non-consensual imagery.
Where did "The Moxie Collective" come from?
Our name was inspired by the coming-of-age film "Moxie", which follows the journey of a girl who starts a feminist zine to empower the young women in her high school, as they contend with bullying, sexual harassment and rape. Deeply moved by the gutsy spirit of defiance and collective optimism, we decided to name our community after the film.
